The Pioneer Journal of Biostatistics and Medical Research (PJBMR) is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in scholarly publishing and strictly follows the principles outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to comply with these principles throughout the submission, review, and publication process.
Plagiarism in any form—textual, conceptual, or data-based—is strictly prohibited. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarized content will be rejected outright, and authors may be barred from future submissions. The journal uses plagiarism detection software to screen all manuscripts prior to peer review.
Duplicate or redundant publication, falsification or fabrication of data, misrepresentation of authorship, and failure to disclose conflicts of interest are considered serious breaches of research ethics. Authors must certify that their work is original, has not been published elsewhere, and is not under consideration by another journal. All contributors must meet authorship criteria, and all funding sources and potential conflicts of interest must be clearly disclosed.
In cases of ethical violations, the journal follows a structured process to investigate and address the misconduct, which may include corrections, retractions, and reporting to relevant institutions. Authors have the right to respond to allegations, and the process is conducted fairly and confidentially.
The full policy, including procedures for handling complaints, appeals, and retraction protocols, is made available on the journal’s website to ensure accountability and promote ethical publishing behavior across the academic community.
